US Open tickets usually are good for a few surprises. Somewhere along the line there’s going to be some player who shocks with success and another who stuns with failure.
The 2011 US Open should be no exception. Novak Djokovic has been on a winning run here in 2011 and his success led to a win ay Wimbledon. So he comes into the US Open with a ton of pressure on his shoulders. A stumble, like the one we saw in the French Open, would be disappointing. Then there’s Rafael Nadal, the Spanish tennis stallion who has recently been pegged to win the US Open. Problem is, Nadal may not be revovered from an ankle injury.
Andy Roddick seems to be stuck in a moment. Unfortunately it’s a forgettable moment and Roddicks appears to be lost somewhere between pretty good tennis player and contending force, It gets confusing but he’s one of those guys that could surprise either way.
